In Islam, black magic is defined as seeking the help of demons and Jinn to perform something harmful against somebody or something else. Many people do not believe in black magic as the effects of it are unseen, however, it does in fact exist and was even performed on the Prophet of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace).

Black magic is widely spread and practiced within the Muslim community and has even recently become common amongst the non-Muslims.

People may use black magic either to harm others, or to fulfill their own desires, such as attaining wealth, success, prosperity, a partner, love, and many other inaccessible wishes. Black magic is a form of Shirkh and blasphemy, and thus prohibited in Islam. Alongside black magic, the Prophet of Allah has said:

“Whoever goes to a fortune teller (a soothe sayer) or a diviner and believes him, has, in fact, disbelieved in what has been revealed to Muhammed.

” Horoscopes, luck, or reading one’s palm to foretell the future is also prohibited in Islam, as they are all acts of magic, and magic is condemned in Islam. This is due to the belief that no one knows the future or can see the unseen apart from Allah.
